Agleague week 15

Sharjah continued their impressive results to further cement their position at the top of the table after the conclusion of matchweek 15 of the Arabian Gulf League.

The King collected three valuable points against Al Nasr, thanks to Ryan Mendes winner in the 74th minute. The guests capitalized on their opponents’ numerical disadvantage who had to play with 10 men after Tariq Ahmed was sent off two minutes before the break.

The win leaves Sharjah on top of the table and increases their tally to 37 points while Al Nasr are 10th on 16 points.

Sharjah also extended the gap with second-placed Al Ain who fell to a surprise 3-0 defeat to Al Dhafra. The Boss’ poor results in the second half of the league continued as they now have 32 points, five away from the league leaders.

Fourth-placed Shabab Al Ahli also dropped points as they were held to a thrilling 2-2 draw by Ajman.
