Qusai Al-Fawaz is the new president of the Saudi Federation
Mr. Qusay bin Abdulaziz Al-Fawaz and his list were elected for the Board of Directors of the Federation after the extraordinary meeting held today at the King Fahd Cultural Center in Riyadh.
Qusay Fawaz won by acclamation since there were no competitors for the list that included Loay al-Subaie, Yazid al-Tuwaijri, Dr. Turki al-Awad, Dr. Khalid al-Thubaiti, Turki al-Hokail, and Adwa Al-Arifi, Roger Draper, and Omar Bakhshwain.
PLANS FOR THE FOOTBALL ASSOCIATIONS
Al-Fawaz reviewed his plan for the next stage, which included the slogan of “Brightness of Al-Saudi Arabia”. His vision included the development of Saudi football and reaching international standards. He said that his vision for the Saudi Federation is inspired by the vision of the Kingdom 2030, A vibrant society, a thriving economy, and an ambitious homeland. Al-Fawaz confirmed that there are a number of challenges awaiting them during the next phase. He pointed out that the ambitions of his program are to improve the team’s position in the FIFA rankings, raising the Saudi league ranking to be among the top 10 in the world, increasing the number of coaches and raising their efficiency, finding specialized scouts to discover talents, increase the number of professional players abroad, and develop training programs.
