The QNB Stars League resumes after a fortnight-long break that saw international matches. The Week 5 action will begin on Friday, 14th September.
The fixtures are Al Arabi vs Al Rayyan (18:00) and Al Shahania vs Qatar SC (20:10), both at Al Arabi Stadium on 14th September, and Al Gharafa vs Umm Salal (18:00) at Al Gharafa Stadium and Al Ahli vs Al Kharaitiyat (20:10) at Al Ahli Stadium on 15th September.
The matches involving Al Sadd and Al Duhail are to be rescheduled as they will play their AFC Champions League second-leg quarterfinals against Iranian sides on 17th September.
Al Sadd will play host to Esteghlal, while Al Duhail will travel to Tehran to face Persepolis. Both Al Sadd and Al Duhail had won their first-leg matches.
The international action saw Qatar beat China 1-0. Al Annabi will also play Palestine on Tuesday.
The first round of QSL Cup, featuring the 12 QNB Stars League clubs, was held in between. Big guns Al Sadd, Al Duhail and Al Rayyan all registered victories, against Al Shahania, Al Kharaitiyat and Al Ahli respectively, while Al Gharafa were held by Qatar SC.
In other fixtures, Umm Salal defeated Al Arabi and Al Khor put it across Al Sailiya.
Back to the QNB Stars League, the encounter between Al Arabi and Al Rayyan will highlight the Week 5 action.
Both Al Arabi and Al Rayyan will be keen to extend their winning streak, having beaten Umm Salal and Al Kharaitiyat respectively in the previous round.
The face-off between Al Gharafa and Umm Salal will also generate much interest because both teams are keen to break into the top four in the standings. Al Gharafa had recorded a 4-0 win over Al Ahli, while Umm Salal will be keen to make up for their 1-5 loss to Al Arabi in Week 4.
Qatar SC can expect a tough challenge when they face Al Shahania.
Much will be at stake when Al Ahli meet Al Kharaitiyat too.
Al Sadd are to play Al Khor, while Al Duhail are up against Al Sailiya.
