Al Ain and Al Wahda players visited children's hospital


Arabian Gulf Super Cup

In a festive atmosphere of shared humanitarian feelings, the Pro League Committee’s exceptional initiative to organise a visit by Al Ain and Al Wahda players to the “57357 Cancer Hospital Foundation in Egypt” was met with excitement from the children and their parents.

The visit was organised as part of the Arabian Gulf Super Cup events, in celebration of the Year of Zayed, and was covered by Egyptian and Emirati media outlets.

Al Ain club were represented in the visit by quartet Mohanad Salem, Hussein El Shahat, Mohammed Fayez and Jamal Marouf in addition to the club’s corporate communication officer Obaid Al Dhaheri. Meanwhile, Al Wahda were represented by first team official and former club icon Fahd Masoud in addition to vice-captain Hamdan Al Kamali. Present in the visit too were representatives of the PLC and Presentation Sports in addition to Egyptian TV Presenter Ehab El Khatib.

The visit left the children and their families touched as the players congratulated everyone on the occasion of Eid Al Adha, wishing the children well and distributing gifts presented by the PLC and the two clubs.

The delegation was welcomed at the hospital facility by a number of senior staff, headed by Ahmed Abdelmoneim, Director of Public Relations, who delivered a brief review about the foundation of the hospital and its services as well as the role of the UAE in the success of this humanitarian project which serves children from all nationalities for free
