Arabian Gulf League Kicks-off August 30, Cup on September 4
The Pro League Committee had announced the fixtures schedule for the 2018-19 season which includes the first half of the Arabian Gulf League and Arabian Gulf U21 League in addition to the Arabian Gulf Cup and the 2018-19 season calendar.
According to the schedule, the Arabian Gulf League is set to kick-off on August 30, 2018 with matchweek 1 taking place over two days. Al Nasr and Ajman get the competition underway at 17:55 on Thursday, while Al Dhafra welcome Sharjah to the Hamdan bin Zayed Stadium five minutes later. Day one of the new season concludes with the 20:30 kick-off at Al Wasl Stadium between Al Wasl and Dibba.
The opening weekend continues on Friday, August 31 with four encounters; Fujairah host Baniyas at 17:50 while Al Ain travel to Ras Al Khaima to face Emirates at the same time. Al Wahda welcome Ittihad Kalba to Al Nahyan Stadium, while Shabab Al Ahli Dubai welcome Al Jazira in the pick of the games in Al Awir
The Arabian Gulf Cup group stage commences on September 4 as Al Wasl host Ittihad Kalba while Baniyas travel to Ajman for the second 17:50 kick-off. Shabab Al Ahli are at home to Al Wahda at 20:30. Wednesday, September 5 sees three fixtures; Al Nasr face Emirates at 17:50, Al Jazira host Fujairah at 17:55 and Sharjah welcome Al Ain to Khaled bin Mohammed Stadium at 20:30.
