Arabian Gulf League matchweek 8 celebrate Oman's National Day
The Pro League Committee has dedicated matchweek 8 of the Arabian Gulf League to celebrating the 47th national day of the Sultanate of Oman, which falls on the 18th of November.
Players, referees and mascots will walk into the pitch with shirts displaying a congratulations message on the occasion and decorated with the flags of the UAE and Oman.
This celebration is part of the PLC's initiatives implemented in line with the announcement by His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, declaring 2017 as the ‘Year of Giving' in the country. It is also meant to emphasise the strong relationships joining the leaders and people of the UAE and the Sultanate of Oman and extend the ties of friendship between the two brotherly peoples.
