A number of QSL Sides have taken part in friendly matches as preparation ahead of the new season. Here we have rounded up some of the games which took place over the past week.
Al Duhail vs Bologna FC – 3-2 QSL’s newest side Al Duhail lost against Italian side Bologna FC by 3-2 in a friendly encounter on August 3rd in Austria.
In the 12th minute, Al Duhail player Youssef Msakni scored the first goal, and then in 19th minute Bologna equalized. Youssef El Arabi regained the lead for the Red Knights in the 26th minute.
However, In the 70th minute Bruno Petkovic scored the equalizer for Bologna. Just four minutes later the Italian team scored the last and final goal of the game to make it 3-2.
Umm Salal vs Al Shamal – 5-2 The Orange fortress defeated 2nd division side Al Shamal 5-2 in a friendly match last Tuesday. Ivorian striker, Yannick Sagbo and Syrian attacker Mahmoud Al Mawas were amongst the goal scorers for Umm Salal.
Al Gharafa vs Muaither – 3-0 QSL side Al Gharafa comfortably defeated second division team Al Muaither in a friendly match on the 31st of July. Jean Fernandez’s men scored three goal to no reply before heading out to their pre-season camp in Turkey.
Qatar SC vs Al Kharaitiyat – 2-1 Newly promoted QSL side Qatar SC defeated Al Kharaitiyat by two goal to one in a friendly encounter on Thursday. The Kings will now travel to Slovenia from the 9th of August to the 29th of August for their preseason training camp. Al Kharaitiyat head to Turkey on the 10th for their own preparations ahead of the new season.
