Lekhwiya begin Persepolis preparation
QSL champions Lekhwiya have begun their preparations ahead of their crunch round of 16 encounters with Iranian side Persepolis in the AFC Champions League. Djamel Belmadi’s side underwent training on Sunday evening, after their 3-1 defeat to Al Rayyan in the Emir Cup Semifinals. Lekhwiya will now turn their attentions to the AFC Champions League, were they are set to meet Persepolis in Tehran on the 23rdof May, before playing the second leg one week later in Doha on the 30th of May. Lekhwiya will be looking to continue their impressive form in the AFC Champions League this season. The Red Knights remain undefeated in the competition, and finished top of their qualification group.
