Clubs in general are using more Twitter and Instagram instead of Facebook to interact with their fans. The biggest fans database handle Saudi's Al Hilal club with 6M followers on Twitter and 1.4M on Instagram, Al-Nassr has 1.2M on Twitter and 250K on Instagram. UAE's football clubs sees Al Ain FC as the leader on socials with 323K on Twitter and 177K on Instagram followed by Al Ahli with 67.5K on Twitter and 68K on Instagram. In Qatar the first is Al Sadd with 44K on Twitter and 34.9K on Instagram, followed by Al Rayyan with 31.4K Twitter and 32.6K Instagram fans.
Global Digital Football Benchmark analysis provided by Result Sports show that four clubs from the Saudi Professional Football league (AL Hilal, Al-Nassr, Al Ittihad and Al Ahli) are ranked in the top 100 worldwide football clubs with the most followers on the social media, data collected from Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and Youtube. Al Hilal is ranked 16th in the global ranking with more than 6 millions followers on Twitter and more than 1.4 millions on Instagram and has one of the fastest growing social media communites.
