AFC Champions League match preview - Al Ahli (KSA) vs. Al Ain (UAE)
Jeddah: Suspended defender Motaz Hawsawi will miss out on the visit of Al Ain when early Group C front-runners Al Ahli host the Emiratis in Group C on Monday.
The Saudi Arabia international was shown a red card in the Matchday Two tie against Iran’s Zobahan, although even with 10 man the Saudi champions were able to come out on top 2-1 in Oman thanks to Omar Al Soma’s Goal of the Week presented by Allianz winning free-kick.
Al Ain lie two points off top spot in Group C but are yet to taste defeat this year as well as boasting the highest possession percentage of all teams in this season’s AFC Champions League so far (66.1%). A goalscorer in Matchday Two’s 3-2 away win over Bunyodkor, Al Ain playmaker Omar Abdulrahman is again set to be in the spotlight with the player so far having attempted more passes (181) than any other player in the continental competition.
