“Women's day round”, the Pro League Committee's fifth “Year of giving” initiative
The Pro League Committee has designated round 21 of the Arabian Gulf League as the "Women's Day Round", honouring women as givers in celebration of the International Women's Day, the 8th of March. The PLC will honour women working in Arabian Gulf League clubs, sponsors, media and broadcasters.
The initiative is part of the PLC's series of initiatives being organised in line with the announcement by His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, declaring 2017 the year of giving in the UAE. On the occasion, the PLC extend greetings to Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Mother of the Nation, Chairwoman of the General Women's Union, Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation and President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood as a symbol and a pride for women, not just in the UAE, but across the world.
