Qatar Stars League, Xavi Hernandez

In terms of assists it’s no surprise that Al Sadd’s Spanish maestro Xavi is currently leading the way, registering 12 chances for his team-mates so far this term. Not far behind the former Spain international is Qatar internationals Ismael Mohammed and Rodrigo Tabata of Lekhwiya and Al Rayyan who have created ten assists so far this term. The top five list is completed by the Al Sadd duo of Ali Asad and Jugurtha Hamroun who have notched nine assists for their side. Looking towards the race for the Mansour Muftah award for the top scorer in the QSL this season, we have two run away candidates in the form of Al Sadd’s Algerian attacker Bagdad Bounjah and Lekhwiya’s Moroccan hot-shot Yusef El Arabi who are both currently tied on 21 goals so far this season. Their goal scoring exploits are even more impressive considering that they missed a large chunk of January by being called up for the AFCON tournament in Gabon. In third place is El Jaish’s Brazilian attacker Romarinho, who has found the back of the net on thirteen occasions this season. He is also joined by Al Rayyan captain Rodrigo Tabata who has picked up the same number of goals from 20 QSL games. The top scorers list is completed by Lekhwiya’s South Korean midfielder Nam Tae-Hee who has scored on twelve occasions so far this term.
