AFC President Shaikh Salman meets Saudi Arabian FA President

Manama: The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) President Shaikh Salman bin Ebrahim Al Khalifa has stressed the importance of Saudi Arabia's football role in Asia, especially with the history of achievements by the Saudi national teams and clubs.

This was when the AFC President met with Saudi FA President Adel Ezzat, Vice-President Yasser Al Misehal and General Secretary Adel Albatti, on Sunday, during their visit to Bahrain.

At the start of the meeting Shaikh Salman welcomed the delegation and congratulated the new board of the Saudi Arabian FA, and expressed his confidence that the new board will build on Saudi football past achievements in their search for future success.

Shaikh Salman hailed the experience of the new president and members on Saudi FA board, which will help them in their work.

AFC President also explained the AFC's programmes and projects to develop the game in Asia, stressing that the Confederation is keen to widen the cooperation and partnership with all Member Associations to reach the common goals.

Mr Ezzat thanked Shaikh Salman for the meeting, praised his open communication with the Asian football family and his leadership for a new era of the Confederation.
